Community Forum for the Resilient Rhody 2025 Statewide Coastal Resilience Plan

Date:

Location: Providence Public Library - 150 Empire Street, Mural Room (3rd Floor)

You're invited to join the first Community Forum for the Resilient Rhody 2025 Statewide Coastal Resilience Plan. This initiative is the state’s first comprehensive coastal resilience study, and the plan will propose state resilience actions, assess community vulnerabilities, recommend adaptation strategies along ocean and riverine coasts, and identify financing pathways to implement resiliency strategies. This is your opportunity to help shape how Rhode Island responds to the challenges of sea level rise, extreme weather, and climate change — and to share your ideas for building a more resilient future.

Transit and Parking: Directly served by RIPTA bus lines 6, 17, 18, 19, 20, 22, 31, the R-Line, and the Downcity Loop.  10-minute walk from Kennedy Plaza. In addition to street parking, the several lots and garages offer parking nearby, including across the street at 209 Fountain Street.

Refreshments will be provided. Translation services will be provided for Spanish and Portuguese. Capacity will be limited for the in-person meeting, but all interested parties are welcome to join virtually. This forum will include a brief presentation, small group discussions, and opportunities to share your experiences and priorities.

We hope you'll join us and lend your voice to this important work.
